Space Race For The Low

Space Race For The Low

The X Prize Foundation announced on April 5th, it is re-launching a competition to put a private spaceship on the moon.  It seems like space exploration sure has come a long way since we sent the first man there, some 50+ years ago.   Mainly, in the financial department.  It turns out there’s absolutely no prize for this competition.  In case you misread, I said there’s NO PRIZE MONEY!  Although I know there’s merit in making innovations for the love of science, but I’m not an idiot.  Innovations can’t get off the ground without some type of funding.  So, what’s in it for the participants?  Surely it’s something that’s worth more than money, right?  The big winner gets a big fat logo on the side of the spaceship.  I guess the dollar really ain’t what it used to be.
