Moon Bound

NASA has announced plans for sustained lunar exploration which means that starting soon, there will be long-term lunar developments! This is exciting for many reasons, but having a base on the moon could mean easier space travel and communication as well as improvements on the technology NASA has currently.

NASA’s report states that this plan “starts with American expeditions to the vicinity of the Moon in 2023, and landing astronauts on the surface in 2024,” and it will pave the way for future Mars explorations. The report itself is motivating and educational, so if you’re looking for a quick read during these difficult times, I’d recommend this.

Along with the overall goal of more extensive space exploration, this Three Domain Exploration Strategy aims to encourage people to learn about the solar system. Although they have many videos and articles already on their website, a listed goal of the project is to engage and teach people around the world about their mission.

“If we are to leave a legacy of greatness, hope, limitless opportunity, and growth to future generations, then it is a mission we cannot afford to postpone”
